Seigaiha (Sky Upon Sea) is a modular low-res LED panel system that works as a 3-dimensional manifestation of a traditional Japanese graphic pattern called 'seigaiha', which represents blue ocean waves.

The shingled surface of 3D printed discs is animated and illuminated by a time-lapse video of rolling clouds, merging the sky with the sea.

Seigaiha (Sky Upon Sea) is comprised of multiple LED panels, which join together to form a modular and expandable surface of light.
